About Terah Tex | Uniform Manufacturer, Chennai
Uniform manufacturer in Chennai/About the company

We are the unit your uniforms are actually made in

Terah Tex is a uniform manufacturer in Guindy, Chennai, started in October 2018. We buy cloth at mill level, cut and stitch it in our own unit, brand it in-house, inspect it before packing and dispatch pan-India. There is no third party between your specification and the garment.

What we are

A manufacturer, in a market full of resellers

Most companies searching for uniforms in Chennai have already bought from a trader once. The pattern repeats: the first batch fits, the repeat batch comes back a shade off, nobody can say which unit stitched it, and the price carried a margin for a step that added nothing.

Terah Tex exists to remove that step. We hold the fabric relationship, the patterns, the machines and the inspection record ourselves — the only way a buyer can be told exactly what changed when something changes.

01

We buy cloth, not garments

Fabric comes from authorised dealers for Raymond, Mafatlal, Gangotri, Qmax, Parth Alliance, Darshan Valji and S Kumars. Buying at mill level lets us quote composition and GSM rather than a vague description, and removes the wholesaler markup entirely.

02

One unit, one accountability

Pattern making, cutting, stitching, embroidery, printing, inspection and packing all happen under our own roof in Guindy. Nothing is farmed out to a job worker whose name you would never learn, so a question about a garment has one address.

03

Every order leaves a record

Shade card, composition, GSM, garment specification and size ratio are recorded against the order. That file is why a top-up six months later matches the batch already in service, and why an auditor can be answered with a document.

Inside the unit

Four rooms a uniform passes through

Fabric store to packing table, in the order it happens. Buyers are welcome to walk the floor before placing a bulk order — most procurement questions are answered faster standing next to the cutting table than over email.

01 · FABRIC STORE

Cloth checked before it is cut

Every roll is inspected on receipt against composition, GSM and the approved shade. A roll that does not match the card does not enter the cutting room.

02 · CUTTING ROOM

One lay per style

Bulk is cut in a single lot so shade and shrinkage cannot drift between the first piece and the two-thousandth. The least visible decision on this page, and the one that decides whether a batch looks uniform.

03 · BRANDING

Embroidery and printing in-house

Logos, name patches, rank insignia, department coding and woven neck labels are produced here, so artwork is proofed once and reproduced identically on every reorder.

04 · INSPECTION & PACKING

Checked, then packed the way stores needs it

Measurement, stitch quality, colour and finish are verified before packing, and cartons are labelled size-wise per site, department or branch so nobody has to re-sort on arrival.

CAPACITY, PUBLISHED

Most vendors will not tell you what they can produce in a month. Ours is 5 lakh pieces, on 100+ machines.

Range

Nine categories, each with its own fabric logic

A chef coat and a security shirt fail for completely different reasons, so they are not specified the same way. Each category has its own page with the fabric, GSM, construction and branding we usually quote for it.
